More than 6 thousand Turkmen students study in Tatarstan
Such information was announced on Thursday in Ashgabat during the meeting of the head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Upper House of the Turkmen Parliament. Rustam Minnikhanov called cooperation in the field of education and the humanitarian sphere between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan promising areas and noted the need to develop cooperation at the state level.
Minnikhanov noted that the number of students from Turkmenistan is growing in the universities of Tatarstan and today it is more than 6 thousand people who demonstrate purposefulness and responsibility, according to a message published on the official website of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
In support of the words of the head of Tatarstan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the implementation of projects in the humanitarian sphere is of great importance for the two countries and the growing number of young people from Turkmenistan studying at the universities of the Republic of Tatarstan are a clear indicator of the growing Turkmen-Tatar ties.
Rustam Minnikhanov expressed gratitude to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his attention to Tatarstan as a promising region of the Russian Federation and separately thanked for the participation of Turkmenistan in the celebrations of the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria.
