Turkmenistan to hold an international tender for the development of local deposits of iron ore

Turkmenistan plans to hold an international tender to select a consulting company to assess iron ore reserves at the Chagyl deposit in the west of the country, in the Balkan region. Deputy Prime Minister Charymyrat Purchekov reported this to the president at a meeting of the Turkmen government on Friday.

According to the results of preliminary studies, there are prerequisites for the industrial development of this iron ore deposit, followed by enrichment of raw materials in factory conditions.

The company that will be selected as a result of the tender will also have to prepare a feasibility study for the industrial development of the iron ore deposit.
