Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin instructed Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin and Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov to resolve the issue of expanding the joint Turkmen-Russian secondary school named after Pushkin, operating in Ashgabat. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

Mishustin, during his visit to the capital of Turkmenistan, visited this school, where education is conducted according to Russian standards. The Prime Minister spoke with teachers and high school students.

At the end of the meeting, the acting director of the school, Irina Kuminova, turned to the head of the government of the Russian Federation with a request to help with the construction of a new building for elementary grades.

The teachers said that the desire of the children of Turkmenistan to study at this school is growing year by year, the classes are overcrowded and the possibilities to accept new students are almost exhausted. In some classes, according to teachers, there are already 40 students.

In this regard, Mishustin noted that it was not in vain that Deputy Prime Minister Khusnullin was included in the delegation. “He builds faster than anyone and builds better than anyone,” the head of government joked.

Mishustin recalled that the instruction to the Cabinet of Ministers to consider the expansion of the Pushkin School in Ashgabat was given back in December.

“We need to consider all aspects (of this decision), the financial and economic justification, we need to think through everything and prepare a decision,” the prime minister turned to Khusnullin and Kravtsov.

The Minister of Education promised to take this project under personal control. Mishustin left an entry in the book of honored guests of the school and donated the complete works of A.S. Pushkin, which was described by the acting high school principal as "luxurious".
