A spoon improving the taste of food has been created

American startup SpoonTEK has developed a spoon that makes the taste of food richer due to the electrical stimulation of human taste buds. The invention will reduce the consumption of salt and other seasonings that are unsafe for the body. The spoon has already gone on sale, Techcult.ru reports.
SpoonTEK has two electrodes, one of which is in contact with the typed food, and the second with the human hand. When the spoon is in the mouth, the electrical circuit closes and a light discharge of current passes through the tongue. The LED indicates when the electrical circuit is closed, so you can change the position of your fingers and use the spoon as usual.
The invention works only with food with a high moisture content. Also, a spoon should not be used by people who wear electrical devices in the body, such as pacemakers. The cost of SpoonTEK is $29.
