Russia and Belarus plan to launch a jointly created Earth remote sensing satellite in 2028, TASS reports with reference to an interview with the director of the "Geoinformed Systems" enterprise of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Sergey Zolotoy.
Currently, the working design of the device is already underway. Zolotoy also noted that much depends on how quickly it will be possible to obtain components, 90% of which are of domestic production.
"Now the planned dates are the launch in 2028, but the task is to do it faster," he said.
