A new well has been commissioned at the Galkynysh gas field
A new well number 60 has been commissioned at one of the world's largest gas fields, Galkynysh in Turkmenistan, the website of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan reports.
Since 2021, Chinese specialists have been drilling the well under a contract between the Turkmengaz State Concern and CNPC. Industrial gas inflow was received from a depth of 4580 meters.
Modern electrical and hydraulic equipment, fiber-optic cables, communication and video surveillance equipment were installed at the wellhead. Thanks to this, operators will be able to remotely control the production of crude gas, as well as manage its transportation through a high-pressure gas pipeline.
