The Turkmen national tennis team - in the qualifying tournament for the Davis Cup
On September, 9-15, the national team of Turkmenistan in big tennis will take part in the qualifying tournament of the world championship, Davis Cup in the city of Amman (Jordan). The national team of Turkmenistan is headed by captain of the team Mirali Gasanov. On September 10, there will be held a draw to decide with whom Turkmen sportsmen will play in the qualifying tournament. On the first and third days of competitions single and on the second - pair games will be played, as informed by the Federation of Tennis of Turkmenistan. The structure of the national team of Turkmenistan included Isa Mamedguly, Arslan Orashev, Atamurad Gurbanov, Yury Rogussky and Hojimurad Charyev. Davis Cup is the largest international tournament among men's teams which is held annually. Following the results of 2017 Turkmenistan occupied the 111th place in the tournament ranking. The Davis Cup tournament will be held from November 18 to November 24, the current year in Madrid.
