The First International Economic Forum "Russia – the Islamic World" will be held on May 18-19 in Kazan and will be held annually. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. The document is published on the official Internet portal of legal information and comes into force from the date of its signing, January 17, RIA Novosti reports.
The presidential decree states that the holding of the annual International Economic Forum "Russia - the Islamic World: KazanForum" will contribute to the development and strengthening of cooperation between the countries. Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin has been appointed Chairman of the organizing committee, and the Russian government has been instructed to organize the preparation and holding of the future meeting.
