Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Vladimir Putin discussed cooperation in the energy sector


Cooperation in the energy sector was discussed by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Russian President Vladimir Putin during a telephone conversation on Tuesday, January 17, the Kremlin's press service reports.
The leaders of the two countries highly appreciated the achieved level of the Turkmen-Russian strategic partnership and discussed a number of issues of practical cooperation in the energy sector, the message says.
Earlier, ORIENT reported that on January 19, Turkmenistan will be visited by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, who will lead the Russian delegation at the status Turkmen-Russian business forum in Ashgabat. The event also includes the grand opening of an exhibition facility for Russian manufacturers — the "Trading House of Russia".
According to the results of the Turkmen-Russian business forum, it is planned to sign bilateral agreements.
