Pupils of the Ashgabat Tennis Academy Ilima Guseynova, Imran Ahundov and Selim Chagylov performed well at the qualifying tournament of the Asian Championship of the Central and Western Asia region among juniors under 14 — ITF Asia 14&U Development Championships.

Thus, Ilima Guseynova, the pupil of the main mentor of the Turkmen national team Mirali Gasanov, became the second in the tournament. In the final game, she lost only to one athlete from Uzbekistan.

Imran Ahundov and Selim Chagylov were also awarded silver medals in doubles.

The tournament was held in the city of Isa and gathered representatives of about 15 countries.
