The world's first mosque using 3D technology will be built in the United Arab Emirates. A unique building with an area of two thousand square meters is planned to be built in the historical district of Bur Dubai, according to the Emirati edition of The National.

The entire mosque will be printed on a 3D printer, it will take four months and another year for specialists to arrange the building and carry out finishing work. The project will start in October 2023 - the construction will take about sixteen months.

"The use of 3D printing technology will reduce the consumption of building materials. In addition, this method does not harm nature and reflects the vision of our wise leadership," the publication quotes the opinion of Hamad al-Shaybani, Director General of the Department of Islam and Charity of the Emirate.

The engineers working on the project admitted that due to the experimental nature, the construction will cost 30% more than the construction of the mosque in the usual way.
