South Korean YouTuber Chaco Chaco became famous on the Internet for his unique ability to play popular songs on a very unusual "musical instrument" - a calculator. He began posting covers of popular melodies on his channel and in just a few months gained more than 815,000 subscribers, ridus.ru reports.
On calculators, the Korean musician can play almost everything: from soundtracks to films and TV shows to classical pieces. “The melodies that Chaco Chaco plays are really impressive, especially when he uses five different calculators to play at once,” fans of the artist write in comments and reviews.
In his videos, Chaco Chaco uses not a standard calculator, but a computer of a certain model - AR-7778, "musical" properties of which are widely known. Each button on the device has its own unique sound. However, as with any other musical instrument, playing the organizer also requires talent and practice. Among the covers of the Korean virtuoso are “calculator” versions of the hits of Ariana Grande, Blackpink, Radiohead and even the song “The Red Army is the strongest of all”.
The blogger began to “promote” content on YouTube by posting his videos of playing the piano. However, popularity came to him when he changed his musical instrument and "moved" to a calculator.
Today, many consider Chaco Chaco to be the world's first calculator-playing artist. However, there are other "calculator" musicians who have been doing this kind of "art" for much longer than he has, even in his native South Korea.
