Passing on to the meeting agenda, the Esteemed President gave the floor to Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh Mammedova. Mammedova gave information about the ongoing work on improving the regulatory-legal framework in the state. As it noted, this year, preparations are under way for holding the elections of Mejlis deputies, members of the councils of velayat, etrap and city Halk Maslahaty.
Then President gave the floor to deputy chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh Babayev. There was emphasized the importance of the participation of representatives of the Milli Gengesh as part of the government delegation in intergovernmental events in the People’s Republic of China, and meetings with the parliamentarians of friendly countries. The deputy chairman of the Halk Maslahaty informed that the delegation of the Milli Gengesh participated in the 13th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly held in Antalya, the Republic of Turkey.
President of Turkmenistan emphasized the need to make all efforts to hold the joint meeting of the Halk Maslahaty and Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan at a high organizational level.
Then the President of Turkmenistan gave the floor to deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Geldimyradov. The Vice-Premier reported that on the state budget for 2023, a relevant work is under way on strengthening the macro-economic stability and economic capacity of the country, maintaining a stable GDP growth rate, optimizing the sectors of the national economy and comprehensive development of regions.
Then deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Abdrahmanov reported that the production of B-92 aviation gasoline, a substitute for goods imported from abroad, has been launched. As was mentioned, the relevant work was carried out to develop the technical specifications for the production of this type of gasoline jointly by the Turkmenbashy complex of oil refineries and the Technology Center of the Academy of Sciences.
During the meeting, the President strongly reprimanded deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Abdrahmanov and State Minister, chairman of the “Turkmengaz” State Concern Amanov for failing to fulfill their duties properly and making serious mistakes in their work and warned that they will be dismissed from their post if the mistakes are not corrected in a short time.
Then deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Purchekov reported relevant work is in progress to increase the capacity of the construction, energy, industrial complex and introduce new technologies.
During the meeting, the head of state strictly reprimanded deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Purchekov and chairman of the “Turkmenhimiya” state concern Nyyazlyev for the serious mistakes made in the work, improper performance of their duties and warned that they will be dismissed from their post if the mistakes are not corrected in a short time.
Then deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Atdayev reported on the activities being carried out for participation of the country in the World Exhibition “EXPO-2025” to be held in Japan.
Then deputy chairwoman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mammedova reported on the progress of preparation for holding on March 20th, 2023 the international conference titled “The main directions and opportunities of tourism development in Turkmenistan”.
The conference participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas on the development of new tourist destinations, and documents are expected to be signed for cooperation between travel enterprises.
Having heard the report, the President given specific instructions to the vice-premier regarding holding this forum at a high organizational level.
Then deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Amanepesov reported on the preparations for holding international Olympiads at higher educational institutions of the country. In addition to students of higher educational institutions of our country, students of universities of dozens of other countries are expected to participate in the international Olympiads.
The head of state instructed the vice-premier to ensure a high organizational level of all planned events.
Then deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs Meredov reported on the draft Work Plan of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 2023.
The esteemed President approved the presented work plan and expressed his confidence that the employees of the diplomatic service of the country will successfully fulfill the missions set for the comprehensive protection of the interests of Turkmenistan and make a ponderable contribution to enhancing the reputation of the country in the international relations.
Then, Director General of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers Chakyev reported on the measures being taken to introduce advanced technologies, expand communication systems and ensure access to the digital system.
As was mentioned, digital telephone stations are installed in the regions of the country and in the city of Ashgabat, and work is in progress on modernization and upgrading of the telephone network allowing for using the services of telephone, high-speed Internet and IP television systems operated through one system, and expanding their range. In this regard, a draft of the relevant Decree was submitted for consideration by the head of state.
Having heard the report, the President emphasized the need to coordinate all activities in the communications sector at a qualitatively new level, use the operating capacity effectively.
The head of state signed the relevant Decree and sent it to the agency director through a digital system, having instructed him to take specific measures to fulfill the provisions specified in the document.
