Taking antibiotics without consulting a doctor can lead to a life-threatening allergic reaction and turn into other serious health problems.

The director of the Information Center of the Ministry of Health of Turkmenistan Ogulmyahri Geldiyeva warned about this in her commentary for the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".

The publication urges not to self-medicate, prescribing antibiotics in the form of injections or pills, and in case of any diseases, contact specialists in a timely manner.

Also, you should not trust advice on self-medication from people who are not doctors, even if earlier similar treatment helped them themselves. Each person's body is different, and different antibiotics can have different effects on the patient's condition.

The article emphasizes that even if antibiotics did not cause an acute negative reaction during the first intake, a cumulative effect may occur with subsequent use. Subsequently, a person will not even understand that it was antibiotics that caused health problems.
