Young people from Turkmenistan will take part in a debate tournament within the framework of the international Non-Violence Cup project, which provides an opportunity to discuss topical issues of our time in a constructive manner.

The current regional tournament is aimed at attracting the attention of young people from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to issues related to countering gender-based violence.

The event will provide an opportunity for young people aged 15 to 35 from Central Asian countries to get acquainted with the skills of working with information, conducting discussions, arguing and defending their life positions.

Debates between participants from Central Asian countries will be held online in the British parliamentary format, which involves dividing speakers into two teams of two participants: one team must defend a specific position on a designated issue, and the other must oppose it by offering its arguments against.

The debates themselves are organized by IDEA Central Asia, a leading provider of "Debate Technology", which is an interactive way to unlock the potential of young people through the development of important communication skills.

Representatives of the organization conducted online classes for participants of the debates from Turkmenistan and other countries, telling about the rules of parliamentary debates and strategies for winning the tournament.
