Afghanistan introduced the first sports car of its own production

Afghanistan will represent a lightweight and durable supercar with a unique design at the Doha Expo 2023 exhibition in Qatar. The world's first Afghan-made sports car is called Mada 9 and is able to compete internationally, reports ToloNews.
Muhammad Riza Ahmadi, a development engineer and employee of automotive design company Entop, said that the "first-born" sports car was developed over five years at the Nauwari Technical and Vocational Education Center in Afghanistan with financial support and assistance from the Ministry of Information Technology and the Innovation Center of Afghanistan.
A team of 30 specialists worked on the project. To create Mada 9, Ahmadi used the engine of a Toyota Corolla car and upgraded it to racing standards.
“The peculiarity of this machine is that it is made in Afghanistan, and not a single such machine has been created in the world. Afghanistan is known as a country where there are wars, conflicts and poverty, but now there is such a vehicle here - durable, lightweight and with a unique design that can compete at international car shows,” Muhammad Riza Ahmadi said, talking about the first Afghan sports car.
