Turkmenistan and China will cooperate in the exploration and use of outer space
"Today, together with China, we are opening up another area of cooperation — the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes," President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov wrote in an article for the People's Daily newspaper published on the eve of his visit to China.
The President of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for its assistance in creating this new industry for the country, which will successfully apply modern achievements of world science and technology in the interests of socio-economic development and strengthening security.
The article also notes that the parties are currently working on projects in the field of communications, modernization of the Turkmen telecommunications network, launching communication satellites and exploring opportunities in the use of remote sensing satellites.
