Turkmen juniors went to Bahrain for the Asian Tennis Championship

The Turkmen team will take part in the Asian Tennis Championship among juniors under 14 - ITF Asia 14&U Development Championships, which starts in Bahrain, Isa city. The Turkmen team will take part in the Asian Tennis Championship among juniors under 14 - ITF Asia 14&U Development Championships, which starts in Bahrain, Isa city. The competition will begin on Monday, January 9 and will last until January 19.

8 countries are represented in the regional qualification tournament (West and Central Asia, South, Southeast and East Asia), namely Bahrain, Iraq, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Yemen.

The Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan participates in this tournament with four players: two in the boys' category - Imran Akhundov and Selim Chagylov, and two in the girls' category - Ilima Huseynova and Natalia Martynova. Such a maximum composition of players is prescribed in the conditions of the tournament.

On January 9, Imran Akhundov will meet his rival from Yemen on the court, Selim Chagylov will clash with a peer from Saudi Arabia, and Ilima Huseynova will compete with a representative of Lebanon.

The ranking of each national team will be determined by the sum of the top three individual results in singles and the top three results in doubles.
