Khabib Nurmagomedov has retired from the mixed martial arts industry


Former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov has retired from the mixed martial arts (MMA) industry, reports TASS with reference to sources close to Nurmagomedov.
"Khabib has left the MMA industry. He will no longer coach, will not be present with the team at training camps. This is done to spend more time with the family," the agency quotes its interlocutor as saying.
Nurmagomedov is 34 years old, he finished his career in the UFC in October 2020. In March 2022, the Russian was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
According to media reports, Nurmagomedov married in 2013 a girl with whom he studied at the same school in a Dagestan village. Now they have three children.
