The first week of January was marked by a number of events of both international and domestic political significance.
On January 3, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov carried out a working meeting on the digital system, where issues related to the progress of seasonal agricultural work were considered.
The hyakims were also instructed to keep under review the construction of various facilities planned under the Program for the country’s socio-economic development for 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program.

On January 5, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov went with a state visit to the People’s Republic of China.
On January 6, meetings were held in Beijing between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the head of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.
The heads of the two states exchanged views on a wide range of issues of Turkmen-Chinese relations, as well as discussed topical issues on the international and regional agenda of mutual interest.
As a result of the meetings, a solid package of bilateral documents was signed.

In order to properly conduct equestrian competitions and races organized in the equestrian complexes of the country, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution.

For foreign currency, representatives of business circles from Turkey and Afghanistan purchased liquefied gas and technical sulfur produced at the technological units of the Türkmennebit Group of Companies and the Türkmengaz Group of Companies.
In addition, cotton yarn was sold for foreign currency, which was purchased by entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan. The total amount of transactions amounted to about 24 million US dollars.
For manats, businessmen from the United Arab Emirates purchased cotton yarn in the amount of about 12 million manats.
