International theater festivals will be held in the cities of Turkey


International theater festivals will be held in several cities of Turkey in the spring, theaters from all over the world are invited to take part in them, the Turkish Embassy in Turkmenistan informed ORIENT.
In particular, from May 28 to May 30, the 24th International Festival of Adana will be held, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey jointly with the Sabanci Foundation. The festival, which started at the national level in 1998, gained international significance in the shortest possible time. Over the years, it has gathered about 200 theater troupes from different countries — France, Bulgaria, Greece, Great Britain, Tatarstan, Macedonia, India, Japan, Germany, Serbia, Cuba, Russia, Italy, USA, Romania, Egypt, Switzerland, Denmark, etc.
From May 20 to May 30, the city of Konya will host the 15th international theater Festival "A Thousand Sighs, One Voice". It is organized by the Turkish State Theaters and the Konya State Theater in order to strengthen cooperation with creative teams from around the world.
On April 25, 2023, the 18th International Festival of Children's Theaters "Little Ladies, Little Gentlemen" will open in Ankara**. It is held annually by the General Directorate of State Theaters of Turkey in Ankara in honor of the Day of National Sovereignty and Protection of Children. This year the festival will last until April 30.
From March 4 to 18, the 10th International Theater Festival of the Balkan Countries "Balkan Breeze" will take place, and from May 17 to 27, the 13th International Theater Festival will be hosted by the capital of Turkey Ankara. From May 15 to May 30, the International Black Sea Theater Festival will be held in Trabzon.
