Italian "mollegiato" Celentano celebrates 85th anniversary

The king of Italian pop music Adriano Celentano turned 85 years old. In his homeland, he is called "mollejato", that is, "a man on springs" and even in his current years, he fully justifies his nickname – gives concerts, develops musical projects and works on creating a new album.
He never dreamed of singing and being an artist, but dreamed of becoming an ordinary watchmaker. However, fate had completely different plans for him – today he is a movie star, a director and even was a talk show host.
And yet, the idol of millions has never been handsome – lanky, bald, with a hoarse voice, but with magnetic charisma. He literally burst onto the scene like an Elvis in the Italian manner and now he has more than 30 albums in pop, disco, funk styles on his account.
At any age, Celentano is always, as they say, in the trend – now he is an active user of social networks and the author of many videos that he posts on his YouTube channel. And such films as "Bluff", "The Taming of the Shrew", "Bingo Bongo" and other comedies made him famous. During his career, the artist performed about 600 songs, and his iconic composition "The Guy from Gluck Street" became a national hit.
Celentano gave a farewell solo concert 10 years ago, but still performs. And the artist has a huge army of doppelgangers - they say you can meet one or two Celentanos in every town in Italy. His image separated from his personality and became something of a friend for every Italian.
