The "Games of the Future" feed is a unique multi-sports project on the verge of the digital and physical world
The international project "Games of the Future" is a new format of sports competitions aimed at supporting the movement for the development of innovative sports, based on a combination of esports and classical sports.
In preparation for the international esports competitions "Games of the Future" to be held in Kazan in 2024, a number of test events are scheduled to be held in the coming year.
"This initiative is a unique project that has no analogues in the world, combining modern computer technologies and traditional sports skills. Such an approach opens up significant opportunities for involving a wide audience, primarily youth, in sports through its new forms. We proceed from the fact that this initiative opens up new prospects in the development of international sports cooperation," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova described the concept of the Games at a New Year's briefing in Moscow.
Russia has already carried out serious preparatory work to promote the mentioned project. The high-tech sports show, which will take place in February 2024 in Kazan, will unite at least 16 disciplines in the physical and digital worlds. The competition will last 9 days and will bring together more than 2,000 participants from more than 100 countries.
In 2022, three test events were held in Kazan – the International Games "Digital Live", three more are planned for 2023. The competitions will include several areas: esports, mobility technologies, robotics, artificial intelligence, classical sports with innovative, high-tech elements.
In the future, it is planned to hold such multi-sport competitions with a large prize fund every two years in various countries of the world.
