The main Christmas tree of Turkmenistan is the highest among the CIS countries


The main Christmas tree of Turkmenistan with a height of 43 meters is recognized as the tallest among the Christmas trees of the CIS countries and it was awarded the first place. The champion's top 5 also includes Yerevan -37 meters, Tashkent -35 meters, Baku - 34 meters and Dushanbe - 30 meters, the Turstat portal reports, which compiled a rating among the Christmas trees of the Commonwealth states.
A green beauty stands in Ashgabat and decorates the square in front of the cultural and entertainment center "Alem". By tradition, on December 15 in a festive atmosphere, New Year's lights were lit on the main tree of Ashgabat.
The Moscow Christmas tree, or rather the main New Year tree of Russia – a live spruce with a height of 27 meters got into the top ten. It stands in Moscow on the Cathedral Square of the Kremlin. Minsk (27 m), Astana (25 m), Bishkek (25 m) and Chisinau (20 m) are also in the ranking of tall CIS fir trees.
