The first women's symphony orchestra was created in the United Arab Emirates


The first women's symphony orchestra "Firdaus" appeared in the United Arab Emirates. The Emirati roster includes 50 women from more than 20 countries. This was reported by The National on Monday.
The head of the OFE Women's Orchestra, is a composer from India Alla Rakha Rahman- an Oscar winner for the best original score for the film “Slumdog Millionaire”. The conductor is Monica Woodman.
“Firdaus” plans to give its first online concert on December 22. The program will include popular Middle Eastern melodies, ballads, flamenco compositions and symphonies.
"We want to inspire people and bring love and joy to every home, every viewer, especially young people," The National quotes conductor of the orchestra Monica Woodman.
