Kazakhstan will strengthen the role of Parliament in the country's public life


Kazakhstan is moving to a presidential system of government with a strong parliament, President of the Republic Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at a meeting of the Senate, The Astana Times reports.
"Political processes will become transparent, and the political system will become more stable. A number of powers are transferred from the President to the parliament, from the center to the regions. A mixed electoral system has been introduced. The role and status of the Parliament has increased. The procedure for registration of political parties has been simplified, " the head of State said.
During the meeting, Tokayev noted progress in the field of human rights, highlighting the importance of creating a Constitutional Court in the country. The head of state also said that the reforms will be continued next year.
"This year the country has experienced a lot, but we managed to overcome all the difficulties," the head of the republic concluded.
