A children's football festival was held in Turkmenistan
The Football Federation of Turkmenistan has held a children's football festival in Ashgabat, the organization's website reports. The football festival was held within the framework of the Grassroots global program in order to popularize and promote football among children and youth.
The event brought together over 150 girls and boys who demonstrated their physical abilities and football skills. Not only did they play football, but also participated in relay races, juggled the ball and performed other football exercises.
The Grassroots program is designed to provide access to the game of football regardless of age, gender, physical condition or ethnic origin. At the festival in Ashgabat, children were able to enjoy the game, improve social skills and master basic football techniques.
