Afghan Railways increase import-export traffic

The Afghan Railway Authority reported that 473,744 tons of cargo was transported by the Afghan Railway in the last week.

In particular, 350,449 tons were imported from Uzbekistan through the Hairatan border crossing, and from Turkmenistan through Akina-17,985 tons and Turgundi - 105,310 tons, which is a total of 466,270 tons, including oil products and other materials.

474 tons of goods were exported to other countries, most of them were Afghan dried fruits.

The Afghan Railways Authority said that the current increase in traffic was 22% as compared to the last year.
