It is planned to create a single database of exchange information in the CIS
A single database of exchange information can be created in the Commonwealth of Independent States. This initiative was announced by the head of the Board of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange Alexander Osmolovsky during a meeting of the Committee on Commodity Markets at the International Association of Exchanges of CIS Countries (IAEx CIS) in St. Petersburg, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reports.
He noted that the processes of deglobalization and regionalization continue to have a significant impact on the development of commodity exchange markets around the world. Therefore, the main task for the Commonwealth exchanges is the formation of their own price benchmarks, which will become the basis for the development of an effective pricing policy by the participants of exchange trading.
Alexander Osmolovsky also said that practical steps are already being taken together with the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange to create a single inter-exchange database.
"We analyze the commodity items presented on our sites, look for common ground, try to develop a common methodology and approaches to calculating quotations, indices and other price indicators," he said, calling on interested parties to get involved in this project.
