A new information system for education management is being introduced in Turkmenistan
Turkmenistan is working on the introduction of a new education management information system (EMIS), for which a pilot application has already been developed, ORIENT correspondent reports.
In order to implement the system, UNICEF, together with the Ministry of Education and the Innovative Information Center of this institution, conducted a training to familiarize with EMIS and train national specialists in its use.
The participants of the event — specialists in the field of education and persons responsible for data collection and reporting in educational institutions, were presented with a pilot application for the information system of education management, which is aimed at collecting, maintaining, analyzing, distributing and using specialized data.
The use of the new system will automate and digitalize the process of collecting information in the field of education, as well as place it on a single convenient platform.
In the long term, it is planned to prepare a textbook on the topic "Education management information system in Turkmenistan".
