Ashgabat to host national championship in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling

Within the walls of the sports complex "Galkynysh" the capital of Turkmenistan will host the best athletes of the country in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling of various age categories.

The championship will open on December 23 with martial arts among boys under 17 in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling in weight categories starting from 45 and up to 110 kilograms.

On December 25, U-20 athletes in weight from 55 to 130 kilograms will have the opportunity to show fighting qualities.

The championship will end with battles among men in weight categories, which are similar to juniors. Their start is scheduled for December 27th.

In total, over three hundred wrestlers will take part in the championship. The tournament will end on December 29th.
