The winners of the winter Athletics Championship of Turkmenistan have been determined

The Winter Athletics Championship, in which more than 150 athletes took part, ended in Ashgabat. The competitions were held in the athletics complex of the capital's Olympic town, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports.

The program of the tournament included running for 60, 400, 800, 1500 meters, as well as shot put, long jump and high jump. Both women's and men's competitions were held.

The first place in the 60-meter race among women was taken by the master of sports from the capital's national team Valentina Meredova. The 400—meter race was won by the coach of the sports club of the Ministry of Defense Olena Hudaibergenova, the 800-meter race was won by Salina Bagtyyarova, and the 1500-meter race was won by Sabina Kasymjanova, the winner of the gold and bronze medals of the VII International Sports Games "Children of Asia".

In the men's competition in the 60-meter run, the first place was won by the winner of the IV Open Championship of Central Asia in athletics, Alisher Sadullayev. Abdyrahman Nurgeldiyev won the 400—meter race, and Atajan Bagiyev won the 800-meter race. The longest distance was won by Perhat Annagylyjov.

Irina Velihanova became the winner in the women's shot put, and Gurbannazar Kakajayev became the winner among men. Aziza Baltayeva and Violetta Kazachanskaya took the first places in the women's long jump and high jump competitions, respectively. Bagrat Gansanbekov won the men's long jump, and Annachary Atajumayev won the height.
