UzA: Uzbekistan summed up the results of the outgoing year
Uzbekistan is becoming one of the centers of world politics. This was stated by the President of the country Shavkat Mirziyoyev during the next address to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan, the UzA news agency reports.
Thus, the SCO and the Organization of Turkic States summits were held in Uzbekistan, as well as dozens of high-level international conferences, which testifies to the growing international authority of the country on the world stage.
Speaking about the main indicators of the outgoing year, the President noted that the country's gross domestic product exceeded $80 billion for the first time. $8 billion of foreign direct investment was attracted to the economy, and the volume of exports reached $ 19 billion. For the first time this year, pensions and social benefits have been increased to a level not lower than minimum consumer spending.
— We have not had such high indicators yet, — Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed. He also noted the need to develop a modern Constitution that will fully comply with the tasks of building a New Uzbekistan, will serve future generations. It was noted that when determining plans and programs for the next year, while strengthening the achievements of the independence period, it is necessary to pay special attention to the development of the most important areas.
Also in his message, the head of state suggested calling next year the Year of Caring for People and Quality Education.
