Iran attaches great importance to swap supplies of Turkmen gas – Foreign Minister
Iran attaches great importance to transit through its territory and swap gas supplies from Turkmenistan, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahiyan said, Mehr news agency reported following a telephone conversation between the Iranian minister and his Turkmen counterpart Rashid Meredov.
In turn, the head of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan noted that Ashgabat has no restrictions on the development of bilateral cooperation, referring to the agreement on holding a joint economic commission next year.
Rashid Meredov also stressed the importance of cooperation through international organizations, in particular, it was about cooperation within the framework of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
