Restoration of historical monuments in Ahal is being completed

The restoration of some historical and cultural monuments of the ancient complex "Seyid Jamaleddin", located in the Ahal region, is nearing its end, a special scientific restoration workshop reported to the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
The workshop of the National Administration of the Country for the Protection, Study and Restoration of Historical and Cultural Monuments stated that soon the complex will be filled with restored entrances to Sardoba — an ancient hydraulic structure.
At the same time, experts noted that during the work, sections of raw bricks were identified in the upper part of the entrance, proving the later occurrence of these buildings laid out to prevent the destruction and strengthening of the walls.
According to the results of early studies in 1947, the entrance was in a dilapidated state, and therefore the main task of the work carried out at the request of the Turkmen National Administration and STACE (South Turkmenistan Archaeological Complex Expedition) was the restoration of part of the monument and the preservation of its aboveground part.
During the clearing of the rubble, preserved parts of the walls on the south and north sides of the entrance, perpendicular to the main wall, were also discovered, which raises many questions from scientists, the answers to which will be revealed in the near future.
These works attract attention in connection with the announcement of the city of Anee, near which the complex is located, as the cultural center of the Turkic world in 2024.
