Turkmenistan will consider the possibility of publishing the results of a continuous population census
Turkmenistan is ready to study the proposals of experts on the publication of the results of a continuous census of the population and housing stock, in accordance with international norms and principles.
This was stated in the Turkmen MFA following the results of negotiations of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vepa Hajiev with the head of the Demographic Statistics Department of the UN Statistical Office Srdjan Mrkic, the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
Representatives of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry informed the UN experts in the field of demography who arrived in Turkmenistan on an official visit about the progress of the census and shared their experience in this area.
The continuous census of population and housing stock in Turkmenistan started on December 17 and will last until December 27.
