A Turkmen student became the hero of the Chinese video series "Be My Guest" and came to be in the village of the Miao people

China's Guizhou Satellite TV has launched a short video series "Be My Guest". The protagonist of the film is a foreigner who, as a tourist, is invited to visit Guizhou and star in a film in the format of a reality show, talking about his impressions and emotions from being in a new area for him.

Dovlet from Turkmenistan, a student at the Guizhou Institute of Technology, became a participant in one of the “Be My Guest” series. His journey and acquaintance with the local culture and customs took place in the southern county of Taijiang, where the Miao live, one of the most colorful ethnic groups in China.

The Turkmen guy mastered the well-known craft of the local population there - the manufacture of Miao embroidery. He was taught this ancient art by a folk master living in one of the villages. Dovlet also tasted the specialty of the residents - sour fish soup, played a game with village basketball players and played "oriental disco" - this is the name of an old dance with wooden drums.

“As a guest from afar, I felt a very different life in Taijiang County and was completely fascinated by the unique culture of the people of Guizhou. I really hope to visit other places in this province of China and get acquainted with local traditions and customs, as well as discover new lands with their own unique culture,” Dovlet shared his emotions in a television project.
