Turkmen-Saudi Business Council and other topics from the joint agenda of Ashgabat and Riyadh


The Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia, Rashid Meredov and Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, held talks in Ashgabat on Monday.
The diplomats expressed their readiness to expand the bilateral legal framework, including through the consular line, and to intensify trade, economic, commercial contacts, and investment cooperation. In this aspect, the expediency of creating a Turkmen-Saudi Business Council to establish direct ties between the business circles of the two countries was noted.
The agenda of the talks also included the topics of partnership in the oil and gas, chemical, textile spheres, in the field of civil aviation, attention was paid to the issues of rational use of water resources and combating desertification. They also discussed preparations for the next, 7th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, scheduled to be held in Riyadh in 2023.
