The President of Turkmenistan received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia


President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, who is paying an official visit to Ashgabat.
At the beginning of the reception, the guest conveyed greetings from the King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud to the President, emphasizing the country's commitment to strengthening and expanding cooperation with Turkmenistan.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the development of long-term ties between the two states.

The Turkmen leader said that he fondly recalls his first foreign visit since taking office as president to the holy land of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which took place in June this year.
During the meeting, the state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations, as well as issues on the international agenda, were considered.

At the end of the reception, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in an interview with the Turkmen media, highly appreciated the positive meeting that took place and noted that the Kingdom has outstanding relations with Turkmenistan, calling his current visit an important step to explore new opportunities for interaction in all areas and bring cooperation to wider horizons.
