A new tourist cluster will appear on the Caspian coast

The Federal Government of Russia, together with the Government of the Republic of Dagestan, have begun to develop a concept for the development of a special economic zone and the creation of a "Caspian coastal cluster".
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Sergey Nazarov following a working visit to the North Caucasus, according to the official website of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
"The area of the tourist cluster within the boundaries of the SEZ on the territory of the Derbent district will be more than 200 hectares. By 2026, it is planned to equip a coastal strip with a length of 6 km, create a modern tourist infrastructure. The implementation of the project will be able to attract at least 50 billion investments for the development of tourism in Dagestan," Sergey Nazarov said.
At the same time, the official noted that the ministry has already determined the key parameters for the development of the coastal zone within the boundaries of the Dagestan SEZ, the all-season tourist and recreational complex "Caspian Coastal Cluster".
As part of this decision, a special working group will be created to identify potential sites suitable for the construction of new tourist infrastructure facilities.
