Turkmenistan has developed a roadmap for the introduction of a risk analysis system on border security issues into the institutional regulatory framework, according to the website of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

Information about this was made during a national seminar for representatives of border, customs and other relevant structures of Turkmenistan, which was organized by the Border Management Assistance Program in Central Asia (BOMCA 10).

At the training, experts from the State Border College of Latvia and Riga Technical University presented the European experience of implementing unified border management in state agencies, familiarized with the procedure for analyzing security threats in the border area. The participants also reviewed a system of measures to neutralize them using the latest technologies.

The event is organized as part of Component 1 of the BOMCA 10 Program. It is aimed at developing and strengthening the institutional capacity of border control authorities in Central Asian countries to achieve national and global security.
