From January to November 2022, enterprises of the Ministry of Textile Industry increased the production of cotton yarn by 25.4%, fabrics by 32.2%, sewing and knitting products by 10.2% and leather products by 9.7% compared to 11 months last year.

This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister for the trading complex Batyr Atdayev during an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on the results of 11 months of this year, which was held on Friday, TDH reports.

The increase in output volumes became possible due to the commissioning of new textile facilities in the territory of the Ahal region, as well as the modernization of existing production facilities and the introduction of new equipment from leading Western companies.

The Turkmen textile complex is one of the leading branches of industrial production in Turkmenistan.
