Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey to hold summit on Turkmen gas supplies to Europe

The presidents of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey will hold another trilateral summit on the supply of Turkmen gas to the European market, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a meeting with Turkish youth in the city of Mardin, TASS reports.
"Following these works, we, as the leaders of the three states, will hold a new meeting and, I hope, we will decide what the roadmap will be. Natural gas supplies from Turkmenistan, especially through Azerbaijan, to our country will facilitate our efforts," the head of Turkey said, speaking about the results of the first summit held in Turkmenbashi.
The Turkish president also noted that this issue was discussed during negotiations between the leaders of the three countries:
"We discussed the possibility of such a step by three countries. They said, "Why not?" And they gave the appropriate instructions. The Turkish Energy Minister and his team have been instructed to carry out preliminary work with colleagues from Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan."
Erdogan said that the supply of Turkmen gas through the territory of Azerbaijan will be aimed at implementing the idea of creating a gas hub on the territory of the republic.
