Construction of new installations is being completed at the TCOPP


The work on increasing the production capacity at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil processing plants due to the construction of new installations is nearing completion, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reports.
So, at the final stage, the construction of a delayed coking unit (DCU), designed to process 0.9 million tons of raw materials per year, as well as a tar de-asphalting unit (TDU), capable of processing about half a million tons of raw materials.
Thus, the combined DCU-TDU unit will increase the processing depth at the plant from 86% to 92%. DCU will produce needle coke with high added value, and TDU will act as an affordable source of import-substituting components that will expand the product line of gasoline, diesel, heating oil and other petroleum products.
The construction on the largest industrial zone – TCOPP – is carried out by the American company "Western Trading Europe Limited".
