Turkmenistan improves customs control over strategic goods


Modern methods of customs control over strategic goods were discussed during a seminar organized by the Regional Office of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for Turkmen specialists, the website of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan reports.
The participants were representatives of a number of ministries, members of the Group Port of the customs terminal, the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, as well as the customs post "Farap Avtoyollary".
Experts from UNODC and the World Customs Organization (WCO) shared the specifics of export control over strategic goods.
Strategic goods include products export of which is prohibited, restricted or controlled to prevent damage to the national security of the country.
