A meeting of representatives of the Ministries of Health of Turkmenistan and Russia took place in Moscow


The Deputy Ministers of Health of Turkmenistan and Russia held talks in Moscow on Thursday and discussed prospects for further cooperation between the countries. Murat Mammadov and Tatiana Semenova showed particular interest in such areas as continuing medical education, medical tourism and digital transformation of healthcare," reads a press release published on the official website of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
During the meeting, it was noted that Turkmen Russian doctors are developing partnerships within the framework of signed documents with leading National Medical Research Centers (NMRC) of Russia. Among them are the NMITS of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after. Kulakov of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Helmholtz NMIC, Shumakov NMIC, Bakulev NMIC, with whom medical institutions of Turkmenistan have established long-term relations.
It was noted that in 2022, within the framework of the experience exchange program, Turkmen experts repeatedly visited leading Russian centers specializing in therapy and prevention, ophthalmology, cardiac surgery, oncology, balneology and rehabilitation.
In addition, Turkmen doctors are regularly trained in Russia and under programs of additional professional education. This project focuses on the use of modern medical equipment, - said Tatiana Semenova.
Currently, a new package of documents in the field of health protection is being prepared for signing, which will regulate cooperation between the Ministries of Health of Turkmenistan and Russia for 2023," the press release says.
