Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated oil and gas industry workers on their professional holiday
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated oil, gas and geologists on their professional holiday — the Day of Oil and Gas Industry and Geology Workers. Congratulations were published today by the official Turkmen press.
In his congratulation, the Head of state stressed the importance of the development of the oil and gas industry for Turkmenistan and noted that the priority is the diversification of this sector, as well as the modernization of its infrastructure through the creation of new modern production facilities.
Also, much attention is paid to the exploration of hydrocarbon resources, deep drilling and development of wells, the production of new products that meet international standards, establishing contacts with foreign partners for mutually beneficial cooperation.
"The gas pipelines being built by Turkmenistan will contribute to strengthening peace in the region, increasing economic cooperation, creating thousands of new jobs, forming advanced industrial support systems in our country and in neighboring states," President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said in his message.
The Day of oil and gas industry and geology workers has been celebrated annually in Turkmenistan on December 14, since 2010. The date of the holiday was not chosen by chance — on December 14, 2009, the largest Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline was commissioned.
