The Presidents of Turkmenistan and Turkey discussed priority areas of cooperation


Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a bilateral meeting today on the eve of the Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey trilateral summit, TDH reports.
The heads of state paid special attention to cooperation in the economic sphere, noting that Turkey is a long-term and reliable partner of Turkmenistan, occupying one of the leading positions in trade turnover and investments.
The Presidents of Turkmenistan and Turkey identified the fuel and energy complex and the transport and communication sector as the most important areas of further bilateral relations.
The interlocutors stressed the need to use the full potential of the Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council as key tools for strengthening business contacts and implementing new joint large-scale projects.
