Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey are aimed at developing a mechanism for issuing visas to improve the activities of road carriers. This initiative was discussed during a meeting of the heads of transport departments of the three countries on the eve of the summit of the heads of state in Avaza, TDH reports.

In the context of optimizing rail, road and sea transportation between the countries, the parties noted the need to create a flexible system of competitive tariffs and uniform rules for the implementation of necessary procedures.

The possibility of forming a multimodal logistics park capable of performing a number of services for the storage and combined processing of containerized cargo that was delivered by air, road and rail was discussed.

The heads of the transport departments of the three countries — the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan — stressed the need to hold various forums for the exchange of experience and training in the relevant field.
