The heads of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan discussed cooperation in the field of energy
Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev discussed cooperation in the energy sector during a bilateral meeting on the eve of the first Turkmen-Azerbaijani-Turkish summit in Avaza, TDH reports.
Separately, the heads of state considered the possibilities of expanding cooperation in ensuring energy security and creating a modern transport and transit infrastructure, taking into account the favorable geographical location of neighboring countries with huge reserves of hydrocarbon resources.
In this context, the parties noted the relevance of the Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan on joint exploration, development of hydrocarbon resources of the Dostluk field in the Caspian Sea.
